What tutoring does M-Group English offer?
M-Group English provides personalised tutoring for Primary, Secondary and HSC students, as well as IELTS, PTE and English language learners. Support may include reading, writing, comprehension, literacy, essay writing, textual analysis, assessment and exam preparation, depending on the student's individual needs and goals.
Additional subjects may also be available with selected M-Group educators. Please enquire about current availability.
Are lessons online or face-to-face?
Most M-Group lessons are delivered online, allowing us to work with students across NSW, Australia and beyond.
Face-to-face tutoring may also be available by arrangement in selected locations. Please contact us to discuss current availability.
Do you offer one-to-one tutoring?
Yes. One-to-one tutoring is a key part of the M-Group approach and allows lessons to be tailored to the individual learner.
Depending on the program and availability, small-group learning may also be offered from time to time.
Who will teach me or my child?
Students are matched with an educator according to their year level, subject, learning needs and goals.
M-Group's Founder and Director, Mariam Oganesian, is a NESA Accredited Proficient Teacher and personally teaches a number of students. M-Group may also work with selected educators across different subjects and areas of learning.
Our priority is to find an educator whose experience and approach are well suited to the individual learner.
Can you help if I'm not sure what my child needs?
Absolutely. Parents don't need to know exactly what type of tutoring their child requires before getting in touch.
Our complimentary 15-minute consultation gives you an opportunity to tell us what you've noticed, discuss your child's current needs and goals, and explore what type of support may be appropriate.
Do you guarantee improved marks or exam results?
Every learner is different, and academic progress can be influenced by a range of factors, including attendance, engagement, independent practice and individual learning needs.
For this reason, M-Group does not promise or guarantee a particular mark, grade or examination result. Our focus is on providing high-quality, personalised teaching, meaningful feedback and targeted support to help each learner work towards their individual goals.
Do you provide HSC, NAPLAN, IELTS and PTE preparation?
Yes. M-Group provides targeted preparation for HSC English, NAPLAN, IELTS and PTE.
Support is tailored to the learner's current level, goals and areas for development rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Do you support students outside Sydney?
Yes. Online tutoring is available across NSW and Australia, including for students and families in regional and Central West NSW.
Face-to-face sessions may also be available by arrangement in selected locations.

Mariam Oganesian, M.Ed.
Founder & Director
NESA Accredited Proficient Teacher and Tutor
Mariam is an experienced English educator with more than 10 years of teaching and educational leadership experience across Australian and international settings.
She brings extensive experience in English, literacy, HSC preparation, NAPLAN, curriculum and assessment, differentiated learning and student support.
Mariam remains personally involved in tutoring at M-Group while also working with selected educators across different subjects and areas of learning.
At the heart of her approach is a simple belief: students learn best when they feel understood, appropriately challenged and genuinely supported.
